From 27th to 30th November 2025, runners from around the world descended on Paphos and the Akamas Nature Reserve Park for the annual Leptos Cyprus International 4-Day Challenge, a unique staged running event combining road, trail, and cross-country courses.
Four Days, Four Epic Races
The Challenge tested endurance, skill, and determination over four distinct races:
- Coral Beach 6k Time Trial – A fast and scenic coastal sprint kicked off the event, setting an
energetic tone for the weekend. - 11k Hill Run – Athletes navigated rugged mountain trails with breathtaking
views across the Akamas Peninsula. - Akamas Multi-Terrain Half Marathon – This challenging course pushed runners to their limits,
mixing terrain and scenery in equal measure. - 11k Paphos City Run – The finale brought urban excitement and coastal beauty together, finishing the Challenge in style.
A Global Gathering of Runners
The 2025 edition attracted runners of all levels from across the globe. From elite athletes testing their limits to passionate enthusiasts chasing adventure, the event offered something for everyone.
Running Through Stunning Landscapes
Beyond the challenge, the Akamas Peninsula provided a spectacular backdrop at every stage. Runners enjoyed panoramic vistas of sea, sky, and rugged terrain, making each race as visually inspiring as it was physically demanding.
Celebrating Community and Support
The event’s success relied on the dedication of the organising team, the enthusiasm of the local community, and the support of sponsors including Leptos Group, Coral Beach Hotel & Resort, Iasis Hospital, Visit Cyprus, the Deputy Ministry of Tourism, EuropCar, RockFm Cyprus, and KEO.
Looking Forward to 2026
With another successful edition behind them, organisers are already planning the 2026 Challenge, promising even more adventure, challenges, and unforgettable experiences for runners ready to explore Cyprus’ stunning landscapes.
